CHICK THERAPY
Dancing is Therapeutic
More so than that, dance is an art form that has been present at every stage of civilization; partaking in its beauty is a way of connecting to humans past, present, and future. There is a long tradition throughout the world of culture's using dance to celebrate, to mourn, to tell stories, and to educate.
Dance Your Heart Away
Dance/movement therapy has a broad range of health benefits clinically effective at improving body image, self-esteem, focus, attention, communication skills and self-awareness. It has been shown to reduce stress, fears and anxieties, as well as lessen feelings of isolation, body tension, chronic pain and depression.

The healing starts in the body, soothing the nervous system and calming the fear response, which is all located in the lower part of the brain as opposed to the top of the brain, where higher modes of thinking occur. From there, the client engages emotions and finally the mind.
Dance Like No One is Watching
Dance may promote wellness by strengthening the immune system through muscular action and physiological processes. Dance conditions an individual to moderate, eliminate, or avoid tension, chronic fatigue, and other disabling conditions that result from the effects of stress.

Dance can transcend you to places that are higher than time, space and reality. You are allowed to express yourself when words fail to articulate how you feel. It almost becomes like this prayer or diary entry you're sending to the universe. Your body becomes the pen and the music becomes the paper.
